Due to the rapid growth of our practice we are seeking an experienced bookkeeper. This is a full time, permanent position and offers great potential for growth for the right candidate.

  • You are a self-starter with a solid theoretical and practical background in bookkeeping and accounting.
  • You are proficient with QuickBooks and Simply Accounting and have strong spreadsheet skills.
  • You are looking for an opportunity to grow with a progressive practice.
  • You are able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines. A high degree of accuracy is essential.
  • You have a sound knowledge of the Income Tax Act, Excise Tax Act and Ontario Retail Sales Tax Act.
  • You have an excellent command of the English language.
  • You also possess superior inter-personal skills and have the ability to deal with clients with diplomacy and tact.
  • You are committed to excellence in client service and are able to forge strong relationships with your clients.
  • You are highly organized.
  • You are team player looking for a position in a politics free small company.

Employment with our firm would not be well suited to anyone looking for a 9 to 5 job, there will be, from time to time, a requirement to work evenings and/or weekends.

Based on our current needs your time would be split evenly between administrative work, such as booking appointments, forwarding client queries, maintaining the office filing system

Your qualifications include a minimum 3 year diploma/degree from an accredited post secondary institution or equivalent experience.
